Hi! How are you?
The sun is shining and flooding my home with light. The Christmas tree is finally up, but the ornaments will be added tonight. As I prepare Swedish pancakes and Saint Lucia buns for tomorrow, the day is flying by. Tonight is our annual smorgasbord, filled with Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes with gravy, herring, smoked salmon, crisp crackers, pickled onions, beets, cranberry sauce, and an assortment of cookies.
My son is working on the Christmas puzzle, and I will come in to finish my room. Growing up, my family had a puzzle that depicted a busy Christmas Eve scene. The house was large, with several floors divided into rooms with various holiday activities happening inside. I am not a huge fan of puzzles, but I did manage to finish my room.
Years ago, I hunted for the same puzzle but never found it. I settled for another puzzle with a different Christmas scene. My “room” has a large brass bed filled with small children. Visions of sugar plums dancing above their heads. I am grateful that Ethan does all the rest!
Here is a post from last year that I thought you might enjoy reading.
Thank you for following along as I share some of my holiday traditions.
Talk to you soon,
❤️ Blythe
