Current Library Inspiration

The county library holds a fascinating collection of books for a small city. This stack reflects the current interests and projects at the house. Minimalista by

and Zero Waste Home were books requested from branch locations. Returning to slow, sustainable living is at the top of the list of projects. Due to the current political landscape, the desire to grow and buy more local food is a top priority this year. Fortunately, the High Country Food Hub is an online food market where you can order and pick up local food during the year. The sugar and snap peas are planted, along with radishes and lettuce. The raised beds need repair work, so the garden planting is yet to come. There is time.

Recent Romp in the Woods

There is one working car at the house these days. The old Subaru Outback is leaking oil and waiting for repair at the local shop next week. This left me blissfully stranded at home over the weekend while my hubby biked with friends. My kiddo and I baked pizza every night, and I played in my visual journals for hours.

Once my hubby returned, my kiddo and I escaped to hike to the fire tower at Moses Cone Memorial Park off the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina. The storms, earlier in the day, cleared the way for a deserted hike, allowing us to stretch our legs and take in the scenery.

I was brave!

I went live on Sunday for a short chat and guided meditation/visualization. I showed up despite the large bandage and shiner under my eye. Although I ended up chatting to a void, connecting and sharing a little bit of light with people watching the replay was nice.

Check it out!

A Full moon in Libra will grace our skies on Saturday. I send out Whispers from the Wood over at my website, Blythe Mountain Spirit, on the New and Full Moon every month. If you want more resources and journal prompts to help you connect to these potent times, join me. 😊

Coming soon

A letter has been in the works since my recent trip to Mexico. The time wasn’t quite right yet, but it will soon be. I am also creating a PDF to help you close out the Aries season. It will be FREE this month and part of my paid membership in the future.

All the pieces are coming together, and I am excited to share them with you.

Talk to you soon!
