It seems like our weather is similar to yours in some ways - snow and cold at times, followed by a sunny warm spell that tends to melt much of the recently fallen snow away. It does feel however that winter is now upon us in that, although sunny today, it also is quite windy and cold outside. We don't own a nice cozy warm crackling fire in a stove as you have, to set the atmosphere, but I remember the days when our young family used to visit my in-laws, who lived out in the countryside, and who had such a stove. Man, that thing used to throw off heat in the house when full ablaze. Nice memories.

I bundle up and walk around the neighborhood at night to see the lights. I am taking full advantage of the warmer weather by taking long walks with my kiddo.
