I often see sparrow hawks at the side of the motorway and imagine they are missed by an many. My body definitely feels the benefits of awareness and observation.
Hi Amber! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I find it amazing that my entire system runs smoother when I pause, breathe, and look around. I am trying to do that more throughout the day. After completing a task or chore, I stop, smile and give myself a secret high five.🙌
There are many gifts and wins in the hardship of this journey that go by unrecognised and unvalued by society. I’m sat in a garden now, immersed in the growth of so many beautiful flowers, birds, trees and leaves. I couldn’t do this and I wouldn’t be here now if it weren’t for what had happened to me. I’d still be at work at this time on a Friday, trying to contort myself into some little box to fit in, all the while being told to think outside of it all at the same time😆
Lovely oracle cards Blythe - where did you get them? Also great photos - we had a sparrow hawk in the garden yesterday, made all the other birds hide for safety.
Hi Carol! I bought this deck years ago at https://uusi.us/products/pagan-otherworlds-tarot. I love the imagery, but it mirrors the traditional Rider-Waite system. I am in awe of the big birds, but the little ones keep me company throughout the day.
Having read your latest "Whispers from the Wood", I'd just like to wish you a belated Happy Birthday and Anniversary.
Yes, time certainly is flying by, with the year already half over, and I agree with you that "It is the perfect time to check in and see how things are going". Like yourself, our family is also in the midst of celebrating an anniversary this month along with a birthday next month so, all in all, things are currently going quite well here.
Of course, with illness in a few members of our extended family and relations, things could significantly change in the (hopefully distant) future but we remain positive, enjoy nature around us, along with the positive cards that life has provided us up to now, taking one day at a time, not sweating the small stuff. No worries.

Yes like you @Amber, I have chronic illness & it makes you appreciate nature & observation. So many miss what’s going on around them
