I just realized from reading Rob's comment, that I forgot to add my ideas. Relationships and connections continue to be an important part of my life. I remember when I wandered throughout the house as a kid looking for someone to chat with. I would sit on the bed and share my day asking 10,000 questions. This pattern continued in college when I wandered the dorm hallway or sorority looking for an amiable target. Of course, I had better things to do with my time, studying being one of them. I continue to love nothing more than a juicy conversation. Relationships and community are something that I value and feed me deeply. That is the primary reason I am here on Substack. To share and connect with others. I do spend a lot of time on my own, especially in the dark mornings on my yoga mat. As much as I love chatting with others, I crave solo time to recharge and reconnect with ME. As the weather gets colder and the nights darker, there will be more quiet time. I do love the change of seasons.

Hi Blythe !

Yes, I must admit to currently enjoying and appreciating abundance in my life. My parents unfortunately were not as well off but through them I learnt the value of hard work and perseverance. These values we strive to teach our kids from their early years and and right now it appears that they will probably do as well, if not better than us, in their future. So I would say that generational family support is what makes all the difference.

What is my relationship with myself at this time, you ask? Hmmm. That's a bit hard to describe. I would say though that, in order to better connect to my emotional self, over the years I've tried to carve out some free time in my (at times) busy life to read motivational books, to get ideas from others. None of us have all the answers all the time.

I too, my friend, hope that you enjoy a beautiful week, filled with abundance, connection, and generosity. Take care and we'll talk again here soon.

Hi Rob! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and ideas on abundance and how they apply to you. I wasn't raised to think about abundance in terms other than money. My parents tended to lean towards the scarcity mindset. Raising four kids on one income put considerable pressure on them through the years. I am trying to shift away from that mindset, which I share with my boys. I do agree with the generational family support. That is key. It's wonderful that you find some time for yourself. It's impressive that you prioritize this and learning new ideas. I plan to continue this activity in my own life as I age. I want to remain open and flexible. 😊
