Yes it is and it's also the date of my wife's and my wedding anniversary.
Like you write, I too "...have been marking this day for a long time now" since I'd be in "deep doo doo" if I should ever forget it (which happily I've never done yet) 😉
Thank you for giving us readers another beautiful description of this wonderful time of the year to get outside and enjoy. And, yes, I could hear the sound of your crows on your audio recording. We have some pretty noisy ones around here as well.
Enjoy your weekend ahead with your family, my friend. Take care now ...
Hi Rob. Congratulations. What a special day to celebrate your marriage. Happy to hear you continue to remember and honor the day. It is a big deal. When I hear the crows, I am curious about what they are chatting about. Some days, they sound very impatient and cross. Have a lovely weekend. 😊
The feel of this post is so lovely, Blythe. “This is not a productivity practice. It is a belonging practice. You are reminding yourself that you are part of this. The sun rises, and you are here to witness it. That is enough.” Yes! Thank you. 🙏💝🥰
Hi Alice! Thanks for reading and commenting. I love saying “hi” and hearing back from people. It’s easy to feel like I am in a void. I sometimes need a permission slip to let a practice or activity be easy. I tend to overcomplicate, research and worry about following the “right” steps. After years, I am finally learning how to trust my own process, because that is the only one that matters. Enjoy Solstice. ☀️
What a gorgeous alter.
Thank you! It's one of my favorite things to do. On my morning walk, I pick something new to spruce up my vase.
Hi Blythe!
"June 21st is the Summer Solstice".

I definitely relate to that, remembering to let it be easy! I think that's more true, too. Love your posts. Keep going!
