Follow your Light
Hi! How are you?
Despite having another idea planned, I was inspired to share these two cards today. Yesterday, I spent too long working on the details and logistics of finishing and sending you the free workbooks, and the rain is coming in tonight.
The garden is calling me.
The Hermit tarot card is the inspirational card for 2025.
This depiction of the Hermit in the Oak, Ash & Thorn tarot deck from Three Trees Tarot sits on my desk. The little hedgehog is following a dirt path out of the dense forest, surrounded by the glowing light of fireflies scattered around it. Instead of allowing the distraction to pull it from the path, it follows one golden light. This leader reminds me of a fairy, but it is the brightest and most engaging for the hedgehog.
The path may not be marked, and there may be dead ends and turns along the way, but follow the light.
What delights you?
What are you curious about?
What spark was ignited during the Aries season?
What path would you like to take?
Too many choices, options, and golden shiny lights may distract you from your path. Grabbing your precious attention and vital energy. People may share their opinions or advice, but only you know the truth that lies within your heart.
The Hermit card can also represent time alone. It is an invitation to step back from the distractions that may lead you astray and reconnect with your intentions and inner wisdom.
Trust that the light of your soul will carry you forward. The soft glow will illuminate the next step.
Trust your light.
Muse of Materials
The Muse of Materials from The Muse Tarot, by Chris-Anne, sits alongside the Hermit card on my desk. Instead of having a King in this deck, she uses the elements of Earth, Air, Water, and Fire to inspire the Muse cards.
The Materials cards represent the suit of Pentacles in the traditional Rider-Waite tarot system. Pentacles connect to the material world, success, abundance, and the physical body. The Earth element associated with pentacles brings a grounded and realistic nature to your life.
The natural elements of the colorful roses and fruit-bearing bushes immediately draw you into the scene. The Muse of Materials reminds you of the beauty and abundance surrounding you. Use Mother Earth's resources for inspiration and creativity.
“It’s time to take another small step toward the gardens of life, and commit to watering, healing, dancing and loving as much as you can. Material success and joys are arriving! Seek the grounding energy of earthly delights, and know that your own fertile lands are blooming now”
Chris-Anne
Taurus Season - Gift of Slowing Down
The Sun moved into Taurus on Saturday, April 19th, and will remain until May 21, when the Sun will move into Gemini. After spending last month in the fiery energy of Aries season, Taurus brings a welcome change.
Taurus season, ruled by the Earth element, invites you to slow down and savor the richness of life. It offers the gift of grounding, which helps you reconnect with your body, the natural world, and the present moment. This season encourages stability, sensual pleasure, and a deeper appreciation for simplicity and beauty.
It is a time to slow down and enjoy the ideas and intentions brought forward during the Aries season. The spark was lit, and the Taurus season encourages you to ground and take aligned action on your unique path.

This week, I ventured into the woods to attempt to reach the Appalachian Trail (A.T.) that runs through the Cherokee Forest bordering my property. The A.T. is a 2,190-mile long-distance hiking trail from Georgia to Maine. Volunteers have been working for months to cut and clear the trail of debris from Hurricane Helene last fall. Massive destruction may lie all around, but a clear path is now available for the hikers to navigate this trail.
Remember: Progress is made from putting one foot before the other.
Enjoy the journey!
Talk to you soon,
❤️ Blythe
Hi Blythe!
I like the words that you write/say to us readers in signing off your posting:
"Progress is made from putting one foot before the other."
So very true these days and yes, definitely people just have to learn to dial things back and slow down the hectic pace that many are experiencing these days.
Next Monday we Canadians go to the polls to elect our country's next Prime Minister. A lot is riding on the results of this election, more so than what has been achieved in many of our past elections.
So yes - one foot before the other - and then hopefully the current political drama in our lives can one day eventually begin to slow down, not only in both of our countries but also in other parts of the world so that our kids will all have a lot to look forward to.
Enjoy your weekend, my friend. Take care now.
I understand what you feel with the damage left behind from hurricane Helene. I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains area but further north. I'm trying to figure out what trails are open. Blue Ridge Parkway is closed. But I've been able to take a back road to it and walk a section since there is no traffic.
